Flood Music is an artist-run label and concert series based in Chicago, IL. In addition to releasing new music by creative musicians from Chicago and beyond, we present two great bands every last Wednesday of the month at Cafe Mustache. Flood Music seeks to explore connections between diverse forms and approaches to music-making, developing a community of artists and audiences that reaches beyond boundaries of style and medium.

We’re thrilled to be the featured group for the Knox College Winter Jazz Series! Join us for a 60 minute masterclass / workshop at 4 PM, and a performance at 7:30, drawing on material from Mandala, Chant, and new works.

This concert is presented by Homeroom Chicago, an independent, non-profit resource for creative Chicagoans to develop and produce new and original arts programming.
Night 2 at the Whistler will feature Black Diamond originals from our 2 releases on Shifting Paradigm Records, as well as brand new material. 2 sets, no cover.
We’ll be hosting the weekly jam session at the Whistler, playing a special set of some of our favorite jazz standards. Bring your instrument and sit in!
We are thrilled to release our new album “Chant” at Elastic Arts as a part of ZOETIC - A celebration of aural, visual, and botanic arts. We’re partnering with Marine Tempels, who will be Elastic’s featured visual artist from March - May. (Marine also designed the artwork and layout for both Black Diamond records). Bweza Itaagi, founder of plant shop Ebimera Vines, will contribute to Marine’s exhibit and enhance the festive atmosphere with fauna. If that’s not enough, our bassist Matt Ulery will be serving up home- cooked food as part of the gallery open house.
